A BIRTHDAY NOTE FROM SHEDQUARTERS

This September, Popcorn Shed turns 10. And before we get too distracted deciding which popcorn belongs in the birthday bowl, we wanted to take a moment to say thank you.

Whether you’ve been here for years, discovered us through a gift or have only just stumbled across our colourful little Sheds, we’re very glad you’re here.

Yes, there really was a garden shed

Popcorn Shed began in 2016 with cousins Laura and Sam, a love of good food and plenty of kitchen experimenting.

The early recipe testing took months. It also claimed a popcorn machine and a cooker along the way. Not quite the kitchen makeover anyone had planned.

Eventually, the recipes came together. Then came another problem: where do you put all that popcorn?

The answer was the garden shed. With more popcorn than there was room for at home, it became the storage spot. The family started calling it the “Popcorn Shed”, and the name stuck!

From three flavours to a world of popcorn possibilities

We launched in September 2016 with three gourmet popcorn flavours. A small beginning, but plenty to get excited about.

Somewhere along the way, our popcorn also picked up 10 Great Taste Awards. Ten awards in 10 years has a rather satisfying POP to it, although we promise the judges did more than count the birthday candles.

Today, our popcorn range has grown to over 30 delicious flavours. Sweet, savoury, for yourself or someone else, the tricky part is deciding which flavoured Sheds to take home.

We love a faithful favourite, but there’s always room for a little curiosity. Add something new alongside your usual pick. You might just find yourself with two favourites.

A birthday is a good excuse to try something delicious

If you’re celebrating with us, Birthday Cake popcorn feels like the obvious place to start. Deliciously moreish vanilla cake flavoured caramel popcorn, finished with colourful sprinkles.

It makes a lovely little addition to a birthday present, too. Tuck a Shed into a gift bag, add to party bags, or even bring it out for a birthday film night.
